Stainless steel in sheet metal processing technology

Due to the high yield point of stainless steel, high hardness, and significant cold hardening effect, the characteristics of stainless steel sheet are as follows:

1) Due to poor thermal conductivity than ordinary low carbon steel, resulting in the required deformation force;

2) When stainless steel sheet is drawn, the plastic deformation is severely hardened, the sheet is easy to wrinkle when drawn, and the full holding force is larger;

3) The rebound caused by the bending and reverse bending of the plate at the rounded corner of the drawing die usually forms a concave deformation on the side wall of the product, which makes the products with higher dimensional accuracy and shape requirements need to increase the shaping process to achieve.

4) Stainless steel sheet is prone to bonding in the process of drawing.
