In numerical control programming, the dimensions and positions of all points, lines and surfaces are based on the programming origin. Therefore, the coordinate dimensions are directly given on the part drawing, or the dimensions are quoted with the same reference as far as possible.

In the process of programming, the programmer must fully grasp the parameters of the geometric elements that constitute the outline of the part and the relationship between the geometric elements. Because in the automatic programming to define all the geometric elements of the part outline, manual programming to calculate the coordinates of each node, no matter which point is not clear or uncertain, programming can not be carried out. 3. Reliable positioning benchmark
In CNC machining, the machining process is often more concentrated, and it is very important to locate the same benchmark. Therefore, it is often necessary to set some auxiliary reference, or add some process boss to the blank.
4, unified geometric type or size
The shape and inner cavity of the parts are of a uniform geometric type or size, which can reduce the number of tool changes, and may also apply control programs or special programs to reduce the length of the program. The shape of the parts is as symmetrical as possible, which is easy to program by using the mirror processing function of the CNC machine tool to save programming time.
